Včeraj smo se veliko sprehajali in spoznavali Limassol. Dopoldne smo odšli do plaže, proti večeru pa smo z busom nehote pristali na vzhodnem delu. Prva posebnost, ki jo lahko takoj opaziš takoj ko prideš ven, so avti na desnem pasu in vozniki, ki sedijo na desnem sedežu. Verjetno bomo potrebovali še kar nekaj časa, da se na to navadimo. Slišala sem že, da je na Cipru več mačk kot ljudi, ampak res nisem pričakovala, da jih bo toliko. Praktično na vsak koraku se najde kakšna, ki čaka da jo pobožaš. Zelo všeč mi je, to da so tukaj pomešane kulture, veliko je tujcev, različnih ver in polti. Opazili smo tudi, da je tukaj veliko več rož kot pri nas, malo pa smo razočarani nad onesnaženostjo na nekaterih delih mesta. Še ena malenkost, ki nam je bila zelo všeč je to, da so tukaj semaforji zelo hitri in praktično takoj ko ga stisneš greš lahko čez cesto.
Yesterday we did a lot of walking and exploring in Limassol. In the morning we went to the beach, and in the evening we accidentally landed on the eastern side by bus. The first peculiarity that you can immediately notice here are the cars in the right-hand lane and the drivers sitting in the right-hand seat. It will probably take us some time to get used to this. I have heard that there are more cats than people in Cyprus, but I really did not expect there to be so many. There is one waiting to be petted at practically every turn. I really like the fact that there is a mix of cultures, there are a lot of foreigners, different religions and different complexions. We have also noticed that there are a lot more flowers than here, but we are a little disappointed about the pollution in some parts of the city. Another little thing that we really liked is that the traffic lights here are very fast and practically as soon as you press it you can cross the road.
